Just make a quick call to the best pet place. Some parakeets can still have bug/mites even with a protector. I would take her to a vet. Al tho I don't have birds., but learned a lot from a friend. So,good luck and God Bless.

Is she the only bird in the cage? The reason I ask if their is another bird in there they pick on one another and can pick the feathers clean off another bird. If not it could possibly be a skin allergy? If she is healthy otherwise just keep an eye on it. Some birds can molt worse overtime depending on the weather. If she starts acting funny take her to the vet otherwise she is probably fine.

It might be a very small amount of minerals. Buy this vitamins and minerals liquid you mix in their food. You can find this at any pet store. But keep an eye on her. If there are other parakeets, they may pick on her. Take her to the vet. They will give good information and find out what's going on.

Are the feathers on her head still intact? If yes, you might have a feather plucking problem there. Parrots do pluck their own feathers when they get too bored and usually the tummy area will be attacked first as it is the easiest to reach. Watch her from a distance, you might be able to catch her doing just that.

proceed to apply the spray as guidelines inform you to do. also make particular your sparkling the cage and washing and then spray. position your birds/chook in yet another cage until eventually the regualar cage is sparkling. feels like your chook has been heavily effected by technique of mites. Mites flow to the eyes of the birds for drinks and also you want to rigorously, use a textile and wipe around the eyes. If he/she doesn't strengthen, then take it to a Vet. solid success.

She has lice and you need to go buy some lice and mite spray and spray on her/him and wash everything in her cage and wash her cage down as well and after a few days after you spray her you should be able to tell a small difference in the way she looks but make sure if she has toys in her/he has toys in its cage you take them out and the food, water, and gravel, before you spray her/he I had same problem years ago thats how I know. good luck it you have anymore concerns feel free to email me.

That happens to parrots when they get very old and they live a very long time. sometimes to 100.

See a vet. It can't be much to look at the bird and tell you if she has lice or whatever.

At the very least they can tell you the sex of the bird. She may be a He!

Fear not, whatever imbalance is occurring it most likely can be corrected. Go to www.pawier.com and read about this liquid vitamin. I'm using it with my puppies and have favorable results. Good luck!

Sounds like stress. You haven't bought a puppy or kitten into the home recently?
