My aunt got divorced about a year ago. She is now dating another guy. If she marries him then she is living in a state of adultery.

Should I worry about her soul? I mean if she remarries and dies before repenting wouldn't her soul be condemned to an eternity in Hell?

Please, don't tell me only God knows just give me your opinion. I just want to know if I should be worried and if you think she would go to Hell for not repenting.

Biblically, you right, she will go to the lake of fire unless she repents.

Um to my understanding she got divorced so she's not living in a state of adultery. The only way I know and that the bible says she's going to Hell is if she doesn't accept God into her heart VOLUNTARILY and acts in the correct way.

Don't worry about her soul. She should be the only one worried about that. Yes I think she should repent but not all her life for doing something that might have been good for her.

Adultery is a sin.

Nothing more nothing less.

Have you ever lied in your entire life?

If you say no, then your lying!

And we all know lying is a sin.

So you and your aunt have both sinned in your life.

Adultery is no worse in God's eyes than lying.

Sooo how do you know your aunt hasn't repented??

And even if she doesn't repent for this one specific sin, it wouldn't keep her from going to heaven.

As Christians we are just supposed to try our best and ask for forgiveness.

This adultery sin may have never recieved forgiveness. But if she is still continually try to improve herself in the Lord, then she will not be condemned.

Also, friend, a little word from a reader of the Bible.

There is no hell!! Do some research into the Biblical place where humans go when they die. Look through the whole Bible!!

Hell became a word around the new testament to create a sense of urgency and is used as an adj. It is speaking about the final end of all unbelievers after the end of the world. The are "thrown into the lake of fire" which means they do not exist.

God has to be fair. And no sin or sins on earth is equally to a firey eternal damnation.

Its just not fair.

Human souls, believer or not, live in Sheol. A place of waiting until the final coming of Christ. It is seperated into two sides, believers and non-believers. But no one is judged until the very very end.

No human is in heaven, and no human is in hell.

Love covers a multitude of sins.

Salvation that you worry about is your own. Everyone deals with what the Lord gives them.
If God convicts someone of their sin and they repent, then rejoice ith them. But be careful about seeing the sin in someone else's life, don't judge them. If God puts it on your heart to speak to them, do so humbly, knowing that you are susceptible to the same sin.

Not all religions believe that divorce is a sin. There is no Commandment that says "Thou shall not divorce". This is one reason I gave up on Catholicism - everything was a sin! Jesus said that He is the light and way and only through Him will we see the Father. If you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, all sins will be forgiven.

If she is divorced, she isn't committing adultery unless she is dating someone who is married or who is with someone.

If you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, this includes everyone, and you believe in that in your heart, you will have everlasting life. Everyone is a sinner and we are not perfect. We all have to ask forgiveness for our sins on a daily basis. Just because we sin, once we believe, we are not going to hell. You believe, you will not go to hell, period. That is in the Bible in John 3:16. Don't worry. Ask her if she believes she is saved. This means if she believes in her heart Jesus died for her sins on the cross and if she died today she will go to heaven, she will. She will not go to hell because she committed a sin. People who are truly Christians are going to make mistakes just like everyone else. They will just ask for forgiveness and keep trying to live through Jesus. You can pray. I will pray for you too.

'All things are lawful for us, but not all things are expedient.' If she has a good relationship with Jesus, she's probably iin better shape than you. Don't be so quick to judge. If you must, inspect the fruits of her life. Is she leaving a trail of destruction behind her? Or is she living a loving existence without harming anyone?

How about you?

The fact that you asked for our opinion and not God's really show what kind of faith you all have in God.

Proverbs 3:5-6Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. 6 In all your ways take notice of him, and he himself will make your paths straight.

Jeremiah 10:23  I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.

Ps 146:3  Do not put YOUR trust in nobles,
Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.

If you read your bible maybe you remember Christ when he commented on divorce, he didn't like it, but said GOD gave it to man because he couldn't live up to such strict standards. GOD, unlike many over-zealous conversionists today; understands we are only human with human weaknesses. Thats why there is forgiveness.

What was the reason for her getting a divorce? Only God can judge, and knows her reasons, and what is in her heart.
