Usually on the main invitation, the location, address and times for the cocktails and reception are in the lower left corner of the invitation. The main body of the invitation is for the ceremony, which already has the date. Then in the bottom left corner, you would put -
Cocktails 5:30 p.m.
Dinner 6:30 p.m.
Dance to follow
The Grand Ballroom
Stardust Hotel
45 Main Street

There are a number of ways to handle this. You can:
1. Get some white card stock from your local office supply store and make your own reception cards
2. Have the officiant announce the location at the very end of the ceremony (that would assure that everyone attending were made aware of the location).
3. Make a wedding website
Here are a few places that do it for free....
http://www.weddings2share.com/
http://www.ewedding.com/
http://www.mywedding.com/main/couple_sites.html
4. You can have the bottom of your invitation say "Reception to follow at
"
ANY of these should be acceptable, or if youre worried that some of your friends and family wont get the information, you could use any combination of these (or ALL of the first three, or ALL of the last three). If you need any other help, feel free to email me.
Congratulations and Good Luck.

It's actually MOST formal NOT to have response cards, but to have people write their own letter to you letting you know if they will attend. At the bottom of your invitations you would simply put something like:
RSVP by the fifth of May
455 Main Street
Anytown, Pennsylvania
however, that format works when you're onoly serving one dish, and aren't counting on responsce cards to have people indicate meal choice.
So for your situation I'd say put the reception info at bottom of invitation. If you simply use the words "Reception to follow" at bottow of invitation, then that is code for reception will be in same location as ceremony and will immediately follow the ceremony. If not, then something like
Reception at five o'clock
Rutherford Inn
655 Marriage Road
tells people that it will be in same town as ceremony location, but diffferent address.
Or, you can omit street address of both ceremony and reception, and include these street addresses on a separate Directions insert that you create yourself.

My kit included the invitation and thank you card. Well, I figured, if I am inviting them to the wedding and the reception, why not just put the place of the reception on the wedding invitation. I put, with a reception to follow at whatever time at whatever place.. Unless you have some guests that are invited to the wedding but not the reception. Then just do the invitation to the wedding for the number of guests just invited to wedding. Then reformat and add the reception invitation on and print the rest. As for informing the guest as to what the menu options are, go to your local craft shop and buy some nice paper in your wedding color scheme and print the menu choices.

At the bottom of your invite you can put, Dinner and Reception following at time and location and some simple directions to help.
You can also buy regular computer paper and state that the Dinner and Reception will follow at, time and location. And put some simple directions to help. You can also make a small map this way if needed. This can be done on a home computer making it cost effective as well. This was done in a recent wedding invite we have received!

We had our reception info on the actual invitation card in the lower right corner in smaller print. Just said "Reception to immediately follow at {name of place and address}.

I used a kit that only had one card. I used that card as the reception card. Then I used Word to create a response card, printed them on lightweight cardstock at Kinkos, and cut them. I have the template, I think, if you need it. It has a shadow daisy in the background.

in the adventure that your reception is purely after the marriage, you are able to say, "Reception to stick to" on the invite. no rely if it rather is a pair hours later, you are able to purely purchase some cardstock from the place you commonly purchase laptop paper and make your very own reception enjoying cards! Use a intense high quality font, and style, "Please connect us for a reception at 7 pm interior the Hilton inn Ballroom." (Or notwithstanding suits your desires, of direction.)

You can go to a store and buy some cardstock in the same colors as the invitations and print it that way or on the main invitation. If their isn't room on the main invite then I would add a seperate piece of cardstock with the information on it.

You can add it to the bottom of the invitation. Reception to follow at...(insert location). Or you could always purchase smaller cards that match your invitation and print them yourself.
