No, satan was an Archangel, he knows God's Word, and yet disobeyed God. Satan will use God's Word against you, so you need to read the Bible for you will know what is says and not get caught in any of satan's decieving schemes.

Satan was created by God, just as all the other angels, human beings, spirits, demons----everything.
Satan was still in heaven when Job was tested.
Satan can recite the Word of God backwards and forwards. Satan believes in God. Satan believes in Jesus Christ.
Satan knows exactly the power of God; he understands the Triune God---the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and he tries to emulate and mimic the actions----only in ways that would diminish God's power in the lives of the only creations God gave souls to-----human beings. Human beings are the only creations he gave "choice" to. The free will to choose good over evil, righteousness over destruction.
When human beings make the decision to sin, those sins no longer lead to eternal death. Why? Because God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and rise from the grave to show us that we not live under grace and that death cannot hold us-----we have salvation and forgiveness through the blood of Christ.
Does Satan believe in God and has he ever read the Bible? Satan has the Bible memorized----and can recite it to you-----and he often has through evil priests, terrorists, "lukewarm" Christians, and political leaders who use religion as a platform instead of a life's walk.
When Jesus was on Earth in physical form and he cast out demons, they knew him immediately and were afraid. The truth still scares those who don't want to accept it.

The Bible did not yet exist when Satan became so- when Lucifer (a former angel) betrayed God and became what we now call Satan or the devil, etc...
I'm not sure. Maybe so. Maybe not. Wouldn't matter to Satan either way I suppose.

Well, he knows the words of God. This can be backed up by two things I can think of off hand. 1. He was very close to God and was considered the most beatiful angel in Heaven, he must have heard God speak. 2. He used quotes from the bible to tempt Jesus in the wilderness, mostly Deutoronomy.
The last thing I would like to add is if I were to go to war with onther, I would study all I could about that person and his/her beliefs, it would be to his advantage to read the Bible just to understand how to take down his enemy...

According the Bible, Satan has a good grasp of scripture. It only makes sense that the primary enemy of Christians would have an excellent comprehension of the very source they derive their inspiration and spiritual sustenance from. Satan is seen in fact quoting scripture during his endeavor to tempt Jesus during his time of solitude in the desert.(Matthew 4: 1-11)

I don't know, but he knows the Bible better than anyone but GOD. He was the most honored angel in heaven, GOD may have just instilled His word in him.
