Hi,
Unfortunately there are a lot of idiots on Yahoo Answers who think they have the right to be abusive and make ignorant comments.
My first baby is due in a couple of days, I became pregnant whilst taking the pill. I didn't miss any, I wasn't ill, i didn't take anti-biotics, but got pregnant anyway. Sometimes these things just happen. It's how you deal with the situation afterwards that's important. I was old enough and in a secure relationship so decided to go ahead with the pregnancy. I have no regrets at all. But your circumstances may be very different to mine. So it's not my place, or anybody elses, to tell you what you should do. As you mentioned in your question, you wanted advice, not a lecture.
I hope everything works out well for you.

I think you are probably the most sensible 16 year old I have seen. You should be proud of yourself for loads of reasons: 1 you waited until you were ready no matter how old you were, 2 you were sensible enough to take precautions, 3 You're in a long term relationship, 4, You have taken responsibility for your actions. I think you have done fantastically, I don't think there are many 30yr olds out there that would take as mature an approach to this as you ahve, they would probably run to the doctor for an abortion as a form of contraception.
All I can say is good luck to you and enjoy you're new family, a baby is worth everything you have to go through, enjoy it and don't let anyone tell you what you did was stupid. It was incredibly brave and you deserve nothing but praise.

No body should be out here judging any one we are here for help and support! Sweetie if you have a good man then you and your man should not concern yourselves with what other folks are saying! I do have a suggestion for you though to stop this from happening again! When I was 16 i was horrible at remembering to take the pill everyday at the same time everyday! They have all kinds of birth control My favorite was the depo prevera shot! you get it 4 times a year and you really never have a period! that's my favorite part! that you don't have to worry about forgetting to take your pill nor do you have to worry about if the condom breaks! It makes for a more fantastic experience!

Hi, I was 17 when I had my first baby, and 29 when had my second. All I will say is that sometimes I think there are greater forces than ourselves and if they are meant to be they will be.No doubt I will get slated for that comment because some people will think I'm saying its ok to have babies as young as 16 and thats not what I am saying, as we all know that some girls are very immature and don't bond with their babies, but you sound like a caring mum, so, I hope you and your wee one and your bump and your fella have a long and happy future together, and love your babies with all your heart, and do whats best for them every day and prove all those others wrong!

Some teenagers are very irresponsible parents at that age. But you do not sound like one of them. You seemed generally concerned about your daughters actions and that is exactly what mothers who care about ther children do. They ask advice. It has to be hard at 16 to put up with a lot of critisim but try not to let it bother you. I was 18 when I had my son and I still got critisim then. You sound like you are a great mom. I think it is terrific that your boyfriend has still stuck around as lots of men do not. Just continue being the best mom you can be and know that not everyone thinks badly of you for being a teen age mom. You sound like you are doing a great job. God bless.

what you may want to do is also take some kind of birth control instead of just using the condom because that way if it breaks you are still protected. also in case you didn't know if it does break you can get the morning after pill within 5 days and that will help prevent pregnancy.

dont let it get to you you will have a lot of people judging you its the way we as people are, its a shame but young mums or single mums get the brunt of it but if you know you are a good mum and you provide everything your child needs then who gives a toss what they think, they will just criticise anything that isnt done in the perfect way they did it. their opinion doesnt matter they dont know you from adam x

You don't have to justify yourself, but you have to expect a certain amount of comments about your age and the fact you are having a second baby. Don't bite and give people more reason to critise you.
