Many birds do die over the ocean while migrating due to dehydration or exhaustion...but plenty others do die over land and do fall on the pavement. Their bodies however do not last long there..they are quickly eaten by scavengers...crows, rodents, cats, coyotes, dogs, insects, etc. I actually do see many dead birds but am probably super aware of them as I am a bird biologist.

Well a lot of them you will find in yards, trees, under brush, bushes, out in fields, etc. Usually if they do land out in the streets they get ran over and eventually other birds and prey will pick them clean to where nothing is left. You see more dead birds out in the country than really in the big cities. I find deadbirds all the time in my backyard when I am cleaning up through my bushes and under the trees. We get a lot of brids where I live. When birds are sick they stop flying around and usually find somewhere to stay until they die. They are kinda like animals that go into hiding before they die.

Dead birds do litter the pavements, until either rats eat them or the council pick them up. I've seen quite a few, maybe you don't look in the gutter enough!

Well two days ago I would have disagreed because anomolies happen. But it is getting serious. Global warming is a hoax, and just a politcal agenda. Didn't you read about the leaked emails? People who are obsessed with global warming are hypocrites. Why don't they care about things that really are dangerous to the environment, like Monsanto and other corporations.

I used to wonder about this. There are so many birds and of course, they all die at some point. So why don't we see them dead more often. Where do they go? Is there a special Bird Graveyard that they go to when they know that their time is near? Hmmmmm.

Birds that die of natural causes seem to know when there time is up and just quietly go under a hedge or similar. When they are old they are frightened off by younger birds and consequently find it difficult to hunt for food in their territory so just die of starvation.

Birds are normally sitting fuffed up in some hidey hole when they die. If they are sick or old or injured they are not flying around.
Unless they are shot - then they do fall from the sky
Or a cat gets them, then they are dinner
If you see a bird laying dead on the ground that wasn't shot or attacked you need to call the health department, because it could have died from West Nile Virus
