My system meets the recommended requirements. (not sure if its my graphics card as it not listed on case of game as being supported?) Have pentium 4 630 processor (3.0GHz) with 1024mb ddr2 ram. Graphics card is a ATI radeon X 300 256mb.
Any recommendations on a new graphics card if a need one?

company of heroes is a latest title so its a sure bet it will require direct x 9.0c and a graphic card capable of pixel and shader model 3.0
i have checked your card and unfortunately it is only pixel and shader model 2.0 so what you need to do is upgrade your graphic card
a budget card with pixel/shader 3.0 is the nvidia ge-force 6200a which can be bought for around £35 from any leading pc vendor
if yu want to stay with the ati cards you caould choose fro the x1300pro or the x1600,x800 these cards all have the required specs
this is the main problem with p.c manufacturers, they save money on building their base units by cutting corners on certain devices, such as graphics, sound and memory,so that is why i allways build my own p.c,s now...and its cheaper
good luck

What properly means to you might be different to someone else so actually telling whats happening that's not working right, we might be able to help you better. Good to know your computer specs but if we don't know the problem how can we help you? In any case your graphics card is a low end card but should be able to run the game if you lower the game setting to low. If you want a better card just get a 7600 GT Nvidia card as a replacement shouldn't be too expensive ($150 ish) and should do you well for awhile.

Unless you got the money to burn and want to buy a new high end card then the 7900 or 7950 series. If you want a high end ATI card then the x1900 series.
