Answering your prayers with something other than what you asked for is not "answering your prayers". If you think it is then of course you can come up with a way to make every prayer appear to have been answered. It's simple psychology, not God.

I have. When one is in serious prayer, not "talking to the wall" prayer, one can feel the communication. The answer to my prayer and the prayers of my family turned 40 on her last birthday.

Her survival was a miracle, according to the doctors, and in my heart I know, was answered prayer.

One must also remember that answers to prayer are not always what we expect or hope for. Remember, Christ taught us to pray in that we seek, "not my will, but Your will be done". When we pray that God's will be done, we must be willing to accept His will. Sometimes, answers to my prayers have been "no".

Bad news, folks. Those prayers that you think God answered? Actually _I_ answered 'em. There is no god, but I intercept and answer all prayers.

Don't believe it? Just try me. Start saying your prayers directly to me, and you'll find that I answer all of them. Every single last one. Of course sometimes the answer is "No" or "just wait", but you have to accept that.

Why answer, your question implies you have already proved any answer is wrong. None the less for any one reading these answers I will tell you,it is not that I "think" it. I have had many Prayers answered. Once GOD gave me the awareness that I should Pray for knowledge of what to pray for,I did so and new awareness of GOD opened unto me. LOVE TO ALL SEEKERS OF GOD WHO READ THESE WORDS.

Many, many times. Sometimes we ask for stupid things or just for a means to get our own way. You know already what those answers are going to be. But oh! Yes. Biggest one I guess when my 5 yr old was badly hurt in aan accident. Not even the Drs. thought he would live. I knew that prayer was going to be answered before they did. Lived to growup to be a health young man. Believe the lead surgion said this after{ I did all I could for him & I was sure it wasn't enough. I expected him to die.

God has answered many of my prayers, sometimes the answer is NO. I accept that.
Yet, Garth Brooks was right when he sang "Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers." God knows better than we do, what we need. Trust Him...

I've always held the belief, even when I was being raised in christianity, that prayer was something they just did to have you kill time. The only way to get help is to rely on other human beings or help yourself.

I do. He answers our prayers, but He may not answer them the way that we would like them answered.
