A man I met three weeks ago has become important in my life more quickly than I ever thought possible. He told me I am "the one" after our first date. At first. I pushed him away. Then, something snapped, and I just fell! He is 41, the widowed father of an 8-year old girl. He is the sweetest man I have ever met, but he is also a man who likes to do manly things. That is, he watches sports all the time and owns a construction company. He is not like the wimps I have dated throughout my life. Now, I am asking questions to him ALL THE TIME - questions about "how does he know" or "is he sure," mainly because I want to make sure I know what I am getting into. I have never been married and have never had children, so this is all new to me! Am I crazy, or is this normal? He acts like it is normal to fall in love after only three weeks. Can someone like him handle someone like me, a skeptic?

I would say go for it! My husband and I have been married for 7 years, and after 2 weeks we knew that we were going to be together forever. If you have been in relationships before, then you are aware of what you want and don't want. Relax, and enjoy the ride!

It's normal. Most men love sports. And do all kinds of manly stuff. There's nothing wrong with it at all. Just like our thing is shopping (lol). There is no time frame when people fall in love. It happens when you feel that spark. You should be really flattered. But don't do anythng to lose him. It sounds like you got a really great guy. He's been through enough losing his wife. Don't let him lose you too.
Good Luck

After all, you are 40 without a mate. You may be falling in love easily b/c you feel u need something in a male like love. But, slow it down and let time take care of things. Don't get offended....just my opinion.

Sounds crazy but you cant help who or how quick you fall in love. 3 weeks is not very long so just take it slow. After all, if he really does love you then he will be patient. Have you ever heard that poem: Love is patient, love is kind... Just let yourself enjoy him and see where he takes you. Best wishes to you both.

Slow down, girl!

It's nice to get all giddy about the guy, and to have him giddy over you, but you don't know each other yet so hold off the drive to Las Vegas for a drive-through marriage.

It sounds promising but take it slow, okay?

Go with your instincts. I would counsel slowing down, but following your instincts. Be les concerned about what he wants, and more concerned with what you want and whether he fits the bill.
Good luck!

YES YOU CAN FALL IN LOVE FAST. JUST TAKE YOUR TIME AND DON'T FEEL RUSHED TO MOVE TO THE NEXT STEP FAST. IF THIS IS REALLY IT, IT WILL STILL BE THERE IN JAN. WISHING YOU THE BEST.
