Once upon a time, having, or being, a "secret admirer" was harmless and innocent, a cute and romantic thing. Unfortunately, nowadays it seems to be on the verge of total extinction. On the rare occasion when it does turn up, it is often regarded as "creepy" and "stalkerish" by the general populace, especially by women. That's terribly unfortunate.
Do any women still find "Secret Admirer" romantic?

When I was single, I LOVED it. I still think it's very sweet, as long as it is done tastefully(no lewd sexual references), and not scary(no " I am watching you all the time", etc)

Secret Admirier is still romantic but it's a fine line between admirer and scary stalker. The gifts would have to be strictly impersonal and definitely non sexual. Candy, flowers, a book are good examples. NO underwear, thigh highs, stilleto heels, etc.

seriously depends on what the secret admirer does. yes it can be creepy. there are a lot of scarey men out there, scarey women too.
that is a hard question to answer. my husband did that before we married. i hated it. i thought it was another guy.
i busted him a few days later delivering yet again a big bouquet of flowers on security cameras located in my office. i thought it was funny. once i knew it was him, i was more relaxed. because i knew he was safe. he was one of my employees at the other side of the building. i do fingerprints, background checks on every one of my employees.
he was not aware i was the owner until after he proposed. he thought i was just one of the lead massage therapists doing interviews. which in a sense, i was. so that was my secret. ha ha

No, I think if you are interested in a girl you should just tell her. I would not find the secret admirer thing fun at all. I had one send me a valentine in high school and he never came forward. what is the point of that? It's just irritating.

Well, "secret admirers" were never that secret... It usually turned out to be the one she was interested in...
I guarantee you, if a girl likes you and you've seen the body language to confirm it... She'll enjoy a little rose with a tag that reads something sweet from a secret admirer...
I did it to a friend of mine... I sent her roses to her work... She rarely got them and other girls did... She was the talk of the office...
She ate it UP!!!

I think it is very romantic.
Once I got a note at my front door from a man who lived down the street. It was so sweet.

dont be creepy about it. as long as its sweet, and eventually you come forward, then there's nothing wrong with it.
