When flying in to Madrids new Terminal 4 (RSU zone) you can physically get to the luggage area in about 15 / 20 minutes (including the train ride). Why then do you need to wait an additional 30 - 45 minutes on top of that for your luggage to arrive? It's a beautiful couple of buildings (why they didn't call them terminal 4 and 5 I do not understand but that's another thing) but they are really letting passengers down with their consistently poor service around baggage handling.

Since its opening, bagage handling was a problem at T4, although, I think they are improving it.
I heard too many bad things about the terminal. Big, spacious and modern, but totally incompetent service.

Maybe you should complaint to Iberia and AENA. In a very Spanish way, they will ignore you.
