Incorrect English should not tolerated especially in academic setting. Allowing it defeats the whole purpose of going to school.

Languages evolve all the time, they are not static but very dynamic. They evolve according to very specific geographic, social and cultural factors. Very few modern languages spoken today are the same as they were 100 years ago. American English has evolved from 19th century British English, which has also evolved from Old English. Ebonics is the oral expression of a specific sub-culture (sub-culture but not in the sense of "inferior", I should add), has some rules too and whether we like it or not, its use is very concret and wide, and its study should be accepted.

Ebonics is incorrect English, and should not be tolerated in schools.
Come to think of it, the "American version" of English is also incorrect.
We should all be learning British English.

incorrect English should not be allowed in school. I think they should go back to the basics until high school at least.
