that people are so mad at CHRISTIAN'S????
Why does the word "HATE" always come up???

im not christian but i feel the same exact way
why cant everyone just get along ?
4 some reason some people try to show that one religon is better than the other and thats where the problem starts

It's mostly because of all of the Christians who are so badly behaved. It's extremely difficult to keep mindful of the fact that the loudest Christians - the antiabortionists and the antigays and the creationists and the like - are not the only Christians.
Christianity faces the same problem that Islam faces: its loudest proponents are childish, hateful, and dimwitted, and it is extremely difficult for the mature intelligent ones to get any attention. Look at how the "it's a rebellion against God" people dominate the Christian answers to questions like this one, with almost no responses from mature Christians.
The best exception to this I know of is Jimmy Carter's book from earlier this year.

I would think because some faiths scream out that their faith is the ONLY faith or they are only Christians because they are born again or that they can quote memorized verses or they can come knocking at your door and try to convert you or or their prophets overide the Bible and Jesus as the Son of God or they only read and preach the New Testament or they don't believe in the trinity....... the list goes on.........
Who knows why these people scream and annoy others. I converted from Protestant to Catholicism. I have raised my family in faith and know we are Christians.
I look at the Amish and wonder why some religions can't learn to be humble, forgiving and peaceful as this society is in our culture.
So forgiveness and to love(respect) one another would be a good start.

The only people who use the word hate ARE the christians, making claims like you are now, claiming that atheists hate christians. Show me 5 posts from atheists who say they hate christians, and your claim might have some credibility.

If someone were trying to take away your right to believe as your conscience dictates, trying to force you to live as they believe you should without providing any sensible reason why you should do so, wouldn't you be irritated and angered by their arrogance and undemocratic presumptuousness? I have no problem with the Christians who aren't trying to do this, those who truly believe in freedom of religion. Would that they were the only kind, but they're not. Those who see their brand of Christianity as "the only way" are a great threat to religious freedom in America and the world today.

We are spiritual warriors. In the battle against non christ people.. it was written this way, and will end this way. Only we can lead by example and allow the Holy Spirit to live in us.. and not show hatred towards anyone. We are all equal in the eyes of the Lord. Sin is Sin.. and that we all share.. Knowledge is armour and Power and promise comes from God.. So, I think knowledge is power.. Use it for good and the non will question it, but that leaves opportunity for witnessing. Be blessed....

Because they are an easy target. You can go out and rant and rave about how evil the Christians are with few repercussions. If you did this with certain *other* religions you would be in extreme trouble, possibly with the media, your employer, etc. You might even get charged with a hate crime.

There are SOME Christians that are "in your face" about their religion. Also, some of the "born again" ones I know are very snobby about it. Some act as if they are better than everyone else because they are Christians. I realize this is not all, but the ones who are very vocal seem to be like this.

I believe people on here are referring to the way so people claiming to be Christians are striking out at others with really bad attitudes !

We who are silent while others scream evil loudly in the name of christianity are given a bad reputation. That is the reason for the hate.
