Should be RESPECTED and held in High Esteem -- because we Veterans, Military Servicemembers, Military Retirees, and future Military Forces are VOLUNTEERS -- we VOLUNTEER to protect and defend the "Constitution of the United States" and this country so that ALL US Citizens can enjoy the freedoms we have.

Certainly above President Bush since his avoidance pretty much nullifies him in that department. I imagine that could be said for more Presidents than just him though.
I'm going to keep them at the top of the order, above any non-veterans. Just look at any job application. They usually ask if veteran or not. As it should be.

I'M A DISABLED VET AND I GET TREATED LIKE ****!!
I'VE BEEN FIGHTING TO GET MEDICAL HELP FOR MY BACK AND HIPS SENSE DESERT STORM, I WAS SHOT IN MY TANK BY MY OWN SOLDIERS. SURE THEY HAVE TRIED TO FIX MY BODY WITH SURGERY ONLY TO MESS UP MY KNEES, BUT BECAUSE I CAN'T WORK, I'VE LOST MY CAR, HOUSE AND SOME ONE HAS CHANGED MY MEDICAL RECORDS TO INDICATE I WAS HURT WILL RIDING A BICYCLE. SO I VE BEEN FIGHTING FOR DISABILITY FOR OVER 10 YEARS,
SO FORGIVE ME FOR FEELING VERY LOW ON THE STATUS POLE.
