i painted my room light blue. i don't get tired of it and it looks really pretty. a creamy yellowish beige might look cozy too. i would probably pick a light creamy lime green.
it really depends on the color furniture you have to put in it. decide on whether you want it to match or contrast. then let your brain work it's magic and go with your instints. it may also depend on personality. if you are cheerful, maybe a bright red would work. if your always depressed, which i'm not saying you are, you may want a dark blue. match your colors with your belongings, thoughts, and preferences and you'll find it. :)

What color are your bedding and window treatments? The wall color should always be taken from the fabrics you are using in the room. Choose a complimentary shade from the fabric for a soothing coordinated look to the room. Warm colors like those with yellow and red undertones can make the room cozy in a cold climate. If you live in a warm climate, cooler colors with blue undertones are restful and calming.

I'm not going to offer any color choices,,,no offense,,, and if you read through any of my painting answers to questions like this you'll see why.
First, in applying thousands of gallons of paint, I know this much. The customer is "ALWAYS" right,,,even when they aren't!
Color is a personal issue, and one YOU have to enjoy, and live with. There won't be any right or wrong answers here necessarily, only opinions and preferences.
The GOOD NEWS is,,, Paint, can be painted over.
