I have straight / wavey hair. How can I create large curls? (I don't want tight ringlets).

Large curling Iron and mousse. I like Garnier Fruictis curling products. After washing your hair towel dry it and work the mousse throughout your hair. I know this sounds crazy, but after using the mousse shake your head up and down a few times to give your hair some OOMPH. Let it air dry and if you want truly defined curls use the large curling iron.

I was a stylist for 11 years. On wet hair, use volumizing products. Set hair on large plastic rollers, spray with light hold hair spray and sit under a hood dryer till dry. drying time will depend on how thick your hair is. For dry hair spray a section of hair with a hairspray that's easy to comb through. I like Sebastian Shaper hairspray. set on Large hot roller. repeat till all hair is rolled. Leave the rollers in for about 15 minutes. take them out. Don't brush the curls out. Run your fingers through your hair untill the curls are broken up to your liking.

Use big rollers with plenty of hair spray to keep the curls in shape. Larger curls are harder to achieve but if you either use heater rollers, or use a hair dryer to heat your hair with big rollers in it, your hair will take the curl better. Leave the curlers in for a really long time for god effect.

Use a large barrel (1" or more) curling iron or hot rollers.
Or if your hair is REALLY long - wash it and set it on beer/pop cans.

Use large rollers at the ends only, or roll halfway up, using a setting gel or lotion.
