Do you call yourself a Christian?
No one can call himself a true Christian if he is not in the Church of Christ.
You can not accept Jesus and reject his church at the same time.

This Church is the Catholic Church.

Jesus built his Church on Peter (Matthew 16:18-19). It will be forever. It is the fullness of Jesus (Ephesians 1:22-23).
The Church with the apostles was very small at first but it grew big and has been with us teaching the truth since the day of penticost until today.
Who agrees and will be reconciled with Christ?

The world is overrun with evil thanks to the division of Christians, which is contrary to what Jesus wanted (John 17:20-23).
After surviving the greek schism of the east, the Church of Jesus was torn to pieces by that heretic and Anti-Christ, Martin Luther. Luther was working for the devil to destroy Christianity.

jworks796: without the Catholic Church, there would be no Bible. The Catholic Church put together the Bible.

What do you think the church is? It's the people, the group of believers... not a building, and certainly not a denomination. The church is ALL Christians.

You are right Peter was the first and every year after him the Catholic Church has been corrupted by the men to the point of unrecognizability. It is a Church filled with the traditions of men. I was baptized Catholic and so I have some working knowledge about that church. The fact remains that the body of Christ is the group of believers that are true Christians. They could be Catholic, Protestant...I don't care and frankly it doesn't matter because all churches have been corrupted by men. There is no "true" and only church anymore, besides the true Christians that are faithful around the world, whether they attend a "church" service, or not.

Even as the church of the Old Testament was often apostate so in the new. At the time of Luther He was disgusted with the immorality in the leadership of the church and the teachings that were contrary to scripture. He tried to bring the church of that day back to a Biblical foundation but was not accepted. Some of the popes were very ungodly men, these were no Peter and Christ built His church on the Word and Work of the Spirit who had revealed these things to Peter, not on Peter himself who shortly after this Jesus calls Satan.

I do not agree- there is too much ritual and practice and teaching in the Catholic Church that is completely unBiblical- there are many excuses of why man's way is better than God's or these things don't contradict the Bible but the fact is God's word is His word- you cannot go get around it.
There is no excuse for the Catholic church continually offering strange fire and holding on to and practicing pagan traditions all while denying and rejecting the feasts and commands of the Lord. this is not to point the finger at the Catholic church- most "nondenominational " churches are more Catholic than they realize and have done the same- rejecting the commands and feasts of God for the traditions of men and offering continually strange fire unto the Lord. - So I am not on an anti Catholic crusade- just pointing out the truth. There are many things practiced in the Catholic church that are in blatant defiance to the Word of God and the Catholic church in no way resembles the early churches in Acts (but on the same token, most of the churches that claim to be fashioned after the churches in Acts do not resemble them either )

Jesus didn't start the Catholic church men did! And Martin Luther did not start Protestantism on purpose, he died a Catholic who only criticized the Catholic church for collecting money from people to get into heaven. Do some research....and no I do not call myself a Christian...I call myself a Pagan.

Where in the four Gospels did Jesus give you authority to judge or condemn others?

Where in the four Gospels did Jesus give you authority to preach?

Jesus gave authority to the 11 disciples to preach (not just Peter) in Matthew 28:19-20. He did not found a church.

As for Peter, he denied knowing Jesus three times, and sacrificed whatever claim he had to supremacy over the other disciples by doing so. That is why Matthew 28:19-20 was spoken to the 11, and not just Peter.

You are absolutely right, the catholic church did put together the bible. NOT God. There are no definites when it comes to what he taught. Different interpretations of what he taught have lent to different sects of Christianity. How can you be the one to say Catholicism is above all the rest. They are probably the biggest culprits when it comes to control mechanisms and their followers. How about you open you mind, do a little research and then maybe realize that we are here for the experience of God, and all of our experiences will be different, right down to the way we worship. Besides... Christ wasn't Christian, and where does God fit into your little rant?

I believe the whole denomination thing (Nazarene, Methodist, Baptist, etc.) doesn't matter. God won't care what church you worshiped HIM in, as long as you worshiped Him. You can go to any church your entire life, and still not be a Christian. It's all about a relationship. I know a girl who was raised Catholic, confirmed and all, and was a complete Atheist. That doesn't mean all Catholics are atheists, it just shows non-Christians are everywhere. For more about Jesus, check out this website.

The Catholic church is a non-Christian cult. The Catholic church says Mary was without sin, but God's Word says ALL have sinned. And that is just one example of many.

No I don't.
I think it's unfair that you pick on Martin Luther. Do you have evidence that the church fathers weren't behaving badly? Church people are PEOPLE and capable of being mislead by greed and lust for power. The men governing the church in his day were behaving very badly. He did what he did to help the congregation.

Please be one on here that opens your mind to the idea that you and those who teach you may not know everything.

I am a Christian because I follow Jesus Christ and His teachings - He is the Head. I do not follow the tradition of the catholic church. I am a true Christian who worships in a Baptist church - a bible believing church. My Christianity has nothing to do with the church I attend and neither does yours. You are misinformed and are probably following tradition or men - you need to rethink your own Christianity. Blessings.
