1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

If you don't need a preacher, then what was Paul referring to in the above scripture? If God chose the foolishness of preaching to save, the where is the preaching coming from? I guess the apostle probably did not know what he was talking about.

God is not dealing with me now. I have repented of my sins, been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. I believe in separation from the world. I believe as Paul did that baptism is where your sins are washed away. I believe that you have to endure to the end to be saved as Jesus Christ taught. I do not find anywhere in scripture where it teaches accept the Lord as your personal saviour, repeat after me, and you are saved.

Of course you can be saved without a preacher. Anyway God is the one saving you. A preacher/Pastor makes it helpful when you've accepted The Father,Son & Holy Spirit. when you decide to get baptized. After all Jesus was Baptized by John. John was a preacher of the Holy Word then accepted Jesus as Gods Son. the true saving happens when your accepted to heaven. Find a good Church and learn how.My tip to you is that You must not know of God and Jesus, but have a relationship with them. I'm sure you know lots of people, but would you let them stay at your house? No! You would let people you have a relationship with stay with you. This is what's talked about alot in the Bible. "Having the relationship" and doing Gods good work.

I was saved on the sidewalk where I lived when I was only 11 years old. Thy young man who led me to Jesus was not a preacher, but a young Christian about the age of 19, who introuced me to Jesus. Praise the Lord.
All a lost person has to do is say a prayer to Jesus as follows...
"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always." In the precious name of Jesus, amen
Did you pray this prayer? I pray your answer was YES
It just take one minute of your time that will change you for the rest of your life and into eternal life with Jesus. praise the Lord!!

You can definately be saved without a preacher. Romans 10: 9, 10: "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." It mentions nothing about a preacher. Preachers can help this event to happen, but they are not necessessary. However, once saved, you need fellow Christians to help you walk with Christ.

Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

You don't need a preacher to be saved. The preacher isn't the one who is making the commitment to serve God.

Dear Southern Apostolic,
Yes, you can be saved without a preacher. However, you must have the Word of God--the Bible. One can be blind and become saved, but they have to hear the word of God. One can be deaf and become saved, but they have to be reading the word of God. "So then, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God."

You can be all by yourself and ask Jesus to forgive your sins and give you eternal life in Heaven. For some folks, though, it is more comfortable to be in church or with a preacher or godly people.

agree that one doesn't need a preacher to be saved as this is a personal commitment between the person being saved and GOD

yes you can be saved without a preacher, I know of a great number of people saved by tracts passed out by, or left by christians, I have led several to Chirst, yet I am not a preacher, yet have been instructed by a preacher. does that make them saved by a preacher?
