Thanks people. Just to let the less intelligent of you know - I wasn't going to give the sh!t to my dog as a meal. I think I know that a dog's diet should consist of dog food.....de da de

Oh heck give the dog a sausage, if it doesn't kill you it wont kill your dog...I haven't kill one yet and i give mine ....OMG people food...

Most vets would say no. I like to give them some table food for treats. However you need to know what type of breed the dog is. Some dogs get bloat which is expensive and deadly. To be safe stick with dog treats. There are a few cheap ones that still smell like they taste like sausage.

as long as you make the pieces small enough so your dog doesnt choke. sausage most likely isnt going to make your dog sick but its not necessarily the most healthy thing for him to eat. you should talk to your vet about the right kinds of food and creating a balanced diet. Dog food is made to have all the nutrients that your dog needs.

I wouldn't make a habit of it. I'm not saying it's bad but it may be to greasy or spicy for the dog. Although, dogs do eat liver, chicken, beef and occassionally pork, ham and turkey.

It probably will not hurt once in a while but you should stick to dog food, you will have less health problems with your pet.

as a treat and small amounts sure but stick to the proper food if you want it to stay healthy and live a good life, it's like you if it eats the wrong stuff it will died too
