It is normal.

Rule one: Don't let her nap during the daytime. If she sleeps all day at the babysitter's place, then she is jumping around wide awake at home.

Rule two: Absolutely no soda and no juice unless you made it with fresh oranges or any other fruit. All the juices from the store contain high in sugar. Milk is okay as well.

Rule three: Take her out to the park or places that she can do things non-stop in the late afternoon or early evening. May be her toy room, and you can play her, such as playing tag. This will wear her out. Then you will be able to get a good night sleep.

Don't check for ADD because medications at that age is so much more dangerous to children than you could ever imagine. Wait until she is in her late teenager years, then may be. Most of the time, children who were so-called guided with ADD were misdiagnosed and have extremely serious consequences, such as extremely high suicidial rate due to depression that the ADD medication causes.

I have 3 daughters. The first 2 were active but the could sit quietly with acticities for long periods of time. Now my 5 year-old is a different story. Every since she was about 3, she is a little monkey. Climbing, jumping off of everything, dancin, doing little flips all over the place. She cannot sit still for more then a few minutes... then she laughs... "Mommy the ants in my pants have got me again" & she's off bouncing around again.

Good luck

Sounds like some of my grandchildren. :-) I think it is normal for a 3 1/2 year old to be very active. Heck, get down on the floor and roll around with her! Jump with her. it is fun. And she will never forget what fun she had with you.
My 4 year old grandson and I go to the park and "fly" We put out our arms and we twirl around and run flapping our arms like we are flying. Sure, cars going by and people stare...BUT who cares! At this point of my life, I am bound and determined to have fun with my grandchildren. Fun that I didn't have with my kids when they were little. I wish I had taken more time to enjoy them instead of worrying about other things.
Enjoy every minute of her childhood. They really DO grow up too fast.

Yes! She's enjoying her young life! Although, if her behavior continues to stay this way where she cannot focus on anything for more then a few minutes then you should take her to your doctors and see if she can be tested for ADHD [Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder].
However, for now, I'd say there's nothing to worry about. Make sure her sugar intake is at it's minimal because children at that age can be very energetic.

Mine was like that. They are still very excited about life and the new things that they can do, so everything is a blast for them. Trust me, if your daughter was sitting still, there would definitely be something wrong. Don't worry though, most of them grow out of that to some extent when they start school.

Ive learned with hours of babysitting that you have to set punishments and limits that your child will know not to cross. Saying, :if you can stay here still for the next half hour ill buy you a lolli pop.: or even a harsh voice to scold him. Im nto a parent but thats what I have as advice.

Of course she is active she is three years old, it comes with the territory. Learn to be just as active (I suggest getting LOTS of sleep)

I think it's the age, they are very active at that age discovering what they can do, I'd be more worried if she just sat and stared into space, if you're really concerned ask your doctor.
