it is the people that make a religion evil. and a small group of people should not be made "the sole resentatives" of their religion. every religion has their bad people, as well as their good people. so no, i dont think that the islamic religion is an a evil religion

Yes, they deny Jesus is the Son of God and actively teach a false Gospel in that he was merely a prophet. It is also a very militant and corruptable belief system in that it is based on works\righteousness rather than grace. Therefore, if a Muslim thinks he is doing good (including violence) then he can go to paradise. Look at their own "prophet" Muhammad!!! He fought against Jews and Christians in his lifetime and they think he is an extremely high moral example!

No, not really. It would be wrong to blame Terrorism or 9-11 on it. The Koran does not teach anything like that, as far as I know.

Or.... maybe it does. The last site gives some very different 'scriptures'!

Evil is an understatement. Islam is like evil on steroids. Even the Church of Satan frowns on any type of sacrifice, human or animal, and the harm of any human being.

Suppose a people seeking peace put out a hit on Saleem Rushdie for his fictional writing in the Satanic Verses about Islam.

When there was an exchange of land for peace in Israel. Palestinians were content. But they put out an intifada against Mr. Rushdie.

If they were truly a peaceful people why not put out an intifada against suicidal bombers because it's not written in the Koran.

"Ask a terrorist" ? You people baffle me sometimes. Need I remind you that Timothy McVeigh was a terrorist responsible for the 2nd largest attack on US soil and he was not a follower of Islam.

To answer the question: No, the religion is not evil. If you look into what Islam teaches, it's along the lines of what most others teach. Tolerance, peace, happiness. But when misguided people get a hold of certain passages of the scripture, they believe they are doing "God's will" by starting wars and killing. Don't look at the actions of a few zealots and translate that into an entire religion. Do some research.

Ask Franklin Graham. He outraged Muslims back in 2001 by saying that, and he's still saying it. This is because he knows first hand. The Muslim government of Sudan has bombed the hospital set up by Samaritan's Purse several times. Why? Because the government is Islamic, and the hospital is owned by Christians. (Even though they minister to all who are sick or injured.)

When a Muslim declares that Islam is a religion of peace, he/she is either ignorant of the Koran (Qur'an), or is deceitfully thinking of this "peace", as it extends only to those within the Muslim Community.

The deceit is that they will not tell you exactly what they mean. According to the Qur'an: "Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah. Those who follow him are merciful to one another, but ruthless to unbelievers" Sura 48:29. "Kill the Mushrikun (unbelievers) wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush..." Sura 9:5. Also see Sura 9:29 Please note that there is not a single verse in the entire Christian Bible that contains this "open-ended", universal command to kill/or be ruthless to unbelievers.

Islam is a religion of hate. Their Koran tells them to kill all infidels.
