well you cant get rid of them forever!!! not really, there have been surgeries to cut off the bleeding under the eye skin (which is what REALLY dark circles are caused from) but so far have proved only somewhat successful and VERY abrasive. The most effective way and the CHEAPEST way (which is still a little pricy to me, but i am vain so its worth it) is to get Hylexin. This constricts blood vessels under your thin under-eye skin to give them a more youth-full appearance and to stop under eye bleeding. THIS STUFF WORKS- you can get it from www.sephora.com

How to Get Rid of the Black Rings Around Your Eyes
As the skin surrounding the eyes is sensitive compared to the other parts of the body, more attention is required. The darker your scars appear, older you look and your pretty face turns unkempt due to these circles. Besides the dark circles you may come across other problems like conjunctivitis, swellings and there are many severe problems like lymphoma, cataract, inflammation of iris, etc. There are a few suggestions mentioned for simple eye problems below. Your eyes are the index of your face value. The prettier your eyes look the more speedy attention you may attract from the public.

You may have dark circles because of genetics which means you can't get rid of them forever.
You can buy some products to help disguise the problem.
Sorry.

I read somewhere that you can significantly lighten them and hopefully get rid of them by putting shredded potatoes in some cheese cloth and putting said cheese cloth on your eyelids for 20 minutes regularly. Apparantly there some sort of enzyme in the potatoes. I am asian and get dark circles - my mum etc has them too and I havent tried this trick yet but I hear it works...

You don't. You can use conceilor to cover them. You can also try the old cool cucumber trick before bed. The home remedy I like is Preperation H. It always works for me :)
