My experience is...
Sever withdrawls for about 2 weeks,
then they get milder and dimminish to nothing over the course of a month.
It's worthwhile.

NEVER stop taking antidepressants cold turkey. That can lead to some serious consequences. Always taper off and with your doctor's knowledge in case something should happen... If you do that the withdrawal symtoms should be minimal.

I was on 10mg of Lexapro for a year as well, and I didn't have anything near to what you're talking about. It's weird that you have those. I just forgot to keep taking them so I'd take one like twice a week and then all together just quit taking them. I never had withdraw symptoms. I'm sorry that you're getting those, it doesn't sound appealing.

I was taking anti-depressants for the past 12 years... When i stopped them i had severe withdrawl for a month... I seriously felt like i was going through herion withdrawl, i thought i was dying. It was the worste but i stuck it out and now im better.... Everyone is diffrent though. Good luck
P.S. If your stopping your meds make sure you tell your doc so you can gradually get off them. Going off them cold turkey can be VERY VERY bad.

I didn't have any symptoms of withdrawal from Seroxat. I weaned myself off. Down to half per day for about a month, then half every other day for month etc..

You really shouldn't experience any withdrawal symptoms if you are steadily going off the medication.

It is not a good idea to go cold-turkey with some of these meds.
You may wish to taper off gradually. Please ask your doctor first.
Then look forward to two or three weeks of climbing the walls.
My best to you.

This will depend on the actual medication you are taking. Different medications stay in the body for different amounts of time and will cause different reactions when discontinued.
