It is amusing that so many in this forum blame religion for all the ills of the world. Funnier still is how most felons find religion in prison. Most admit that they were not part of any religion on the outside.

You ask about different races getting along. I think they do quite well, really. About 120 murders in Milwaukee, WI last year. About 100 were blacks killing other blacks. Some were whites killing whites. Don't know if any were based on race alone. But I do not think so. Some were gang related, a non-religious group, I think.

Overall the races get along quite well, but criminals are everywhere and always have been. The root causes are
illegal drugs, poverty, and some people who are just born to be bad.

The war in Iraq is not about religion and it never has been. All the problems in the middle east are about power and control, land and the claims to it. Extremist Muslims spend years talking people into becoming suicide bombers. And making them believe that it is religion based. And if the US is waging a religious war why aren't we trying to convert all muslims? And why aren't they trying to convert us?

In Los Angeles there are separations of colors and classes of people. Cut like a pie each group lives in certain areas. Yet, we are taught to live together, but each race chooses to live amongst their own. The poor blacks live here, the poor Mexicans live there, the Koreans live here, the rich white live there, the poor white live here. Which is funny because with all the division we are told to become a mulatto race.

It wasn't twenty five years ago an Asian and a Caucasian would have a baby and push it along the sidewalk in a stroller. People would call the baby a half-breed and spit on it.

People will pay $3,800 for a pedigree dog but sleep with anyone one and not take responsibility for the child. They will buy a dog that is pure blood, a blue ribbon winner with papers.

They can get along. That they don't is mostly the problem of religion, far more than race. Some religions preach that God wants us all to be brothers and sisters. Some of them may even believe it. But the facts are that many religions tell people how they should behave, and what they should believe, without respecting their cultural and spiritual differences. Since both race and religion are to some extent based on origins, there is some cross-over of racism and religious intolerance.

But I will never believe that people who are different cannot get along. I have seen it work many times. They simply need to cut each other some slack.

Maybe it's fake, social control. Each church teaches subliminal messages to its followers. Those messages are segregated with respect to the individual churches. It's almost like going to a fortune teller. You have doubts about the reading, yet you question its accuracy, and you still pay the fee. Clergy people always say what followers want to hear. They always hit the nail right on the head according to trends in society. There's a start to your answer.

Because humans tend to categorize other people and skin color is a convenient way to do so. When people (or other animals) form groups, they tend to have empathy for those in the group and enmity towards those outside the group.

answer is by using psychological superiority. it is the difficulty with us Canadians. we furnish song, flora and peace gestures to North Korea, Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan and all we get in go back are bullets and Nukes. flow ensure !!! bear in mind; anybody needs peace.
