My definition is when you get someone to do something against they initially didn't want to do, by threat or by guilt. persuasion is helpful sometimes but don't get into the habit, or many will lose their respect for you. I've seen that happen alot.

a manipulative person is someone who can get what they want by persuading another person...like you want your friend to call your bf/gf and they won't do it...with persuading and trying to make a point you get them to do...you get other people to do what you want them to do..
