If you cant afford a vet you cant afford a pet. It sounds like he has got petrol or similar on him, or the parasite theory could be right.
Whatever get him to a vet. If you can't afford it speak to the Blue Cross or The Cats Protection League they will point you in the right direction.

Some people cannot afford vets so for now wrap his feet up as much as possible and keep playing with him and petting him to divert his attention. I'm not sure if this will help at all, but try the website, they do certain things for free if you show you need the assitance. Good luck, please take care of your pet IMMEDIATELY!

Have you been bathing the cat? If so, cat's do not need baths and too much might hurt them. Best thing to do is to take them to the vet and check for fleas.

possibly his foot has an inner inflammation that in the time of basic terms he can sense (like whilst a physique area gets numb from being in one place to long) tub his foot in Tea Tree cleansing soap or shampoo Then rub/rub down Tee Tree oil on it by utilising a pair of recent child toddler socks positioned it on his foot. Wrap with surgical tape, the finished foot sock and all, then positioned the different sock over that. replace and wash the foot. a minimum of a minimum of thrice an afternoon. i wish it quite works

Take him to the vet asap! if there is no medical reason he is doing this it could be behavioural. Have their been any changes in your cats environment that might have upset him? does your cats environment stimulate him enough? he may be bored. PLEASE take him to the vet tho

have you heard of a person called a 'vet'??? Take your cat there as soon as your nearest one opens. Your cat sounds like she is in agony and chewing herself out of torture.

Take it to the vet, the vet will give you some ointment, and a collar.

Take him to the vet, it's your best choice. Maybe though, you could try putting pet repellent on the problem areas, but I wouldn't recommend it
