I have invented a product, which when combined with a popular brand name product, produces a third product. This combination product uses the name brand for the purpose it was meant to be used, but in a better way with better results..

I want to sell this idea to the brand name company.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions about how to contact a company, which is probably part of a conglomerate, with an idea and get credit for it?

I would speak with a patent attorney first to protect your invention, before letting the big company know about it. That way they cannot steal your idea. Once your idea is protected, their website will have contact information for their product development department. Send them a written proposal/description and try and get a personal appointment to demonstrate your product.
