I've found info on buying fabric and batting but what other tools are needed for reupholstering a couch?

You need a tack hammer, upholstery tacks, decorative finishing tacks, muslin, webbing, a webbing stretcher, springs, cord to tie the springs, matching thread, and a sewing machine to seam the cushions. You may also want foam rubber forms for cushions, zippers, and an appropriate color of cording for seams.

Hand Stapler and Scissors. My need a Sewing machine for the Cushions etc.
You can use the old upholstery for a pattern and pay close attention to how it is installed. Then the new should go back easy. If, you have a Digital Camera you can take a few pictures as you remove the old and have a Reference.

Ised a staple gun, scissors, straight edge, um, I think that was about it.
