Turkish men have to be dominate, English girls enjoy being independent thinkers.

In the UK there are few issues. In a Muslim country there are many issues as the laws in that country may prevent you from doing what you want. I had a Libyan bf once and there were a few cultural differences that we had to overcome but had a really good relationship otherwise. We had to break up when he went back to Libya after we had been together a year. He was forced to go back by his government. Not something I can really talk about publicly. Needless to say it would have been a really bad idea for me to go over to Libya. You need to do some research on Turkey before you make your decision.

Most young women find out that the turkish guy wants a british passport, and therefore marries her just to be able to come to the UK.
Some women have a good relationship, have children etc then find that the man takes the children abroad to live with his family and theres an international child custody battle, very expensive!
Then some live happily ever after
Remember, turkish guys usually have a different woman every few weeks especially if he is a barman / waiter... they have a reputation...
Make your mind up time....

I have a Muslim girlfriend. She wants me to go to Iran, but realizes that it would be bad for me right now. I'm American and an atheist, so that's two strikes against me over there. Perhaps in the future, things will calm down enough that I can visit. It sounds like a beautiful country.

I had an Ex who is Turkish, and we are still really good friends now,Don't listen to the negative comments. As a Muslim Woman you do have rights and you get sooo much respect.
From a culture side, just be a bit aware of what his intention is.Turkish Muslims tend not to be too strict.
Also on terms of the relationship,I would say to you,as you are questioning it,I don't think you should go,this should come down to the fact do you trust him?!If you only known him for a while and still don't know him properly, wait.
I have given you a couple of sites what it would be as a Muslim woman.

I think its a big mistake to go there alone. I was hoping to marry a muslim man and it terned into a night mare I had met him in egypt and traveled there several times he was desperate to get to england and took much cash of me although the quran says a man should suport his wife. I would say read the quran before you go learn about islam it is not the same as christianity women have little freedem. and do not travel there alone

the Muslim man wants you to celebrate Christmas? In Istanbul?
lol um well okay thats okay i guess. If you feel uncomfortable to go Istanbul because of your fear then tell him what you fear. He will understand im sure.
And if you like him, maybe you'll find out in Istanbul that he is willing to support and carefor you in the future.

Apart from the fact Muslims treat non Muslims like second class citizens and Muslim men tend to treat Non Muslim lovers as unpaid prostitutes, and he probably fancies UK citizenship, and UK benefits, well it seems like a love match made in heaven.
Why not enjoy the holiday, He will probably rent an apartment to impress you, and let him wear himself out pleasuring you bedroom wise, while you check his property portfolio and bank balance before making a balanced judgement.
If he is broke walk away. bow legged but happy.

As a Muslim he would expect his female to take a back seat.
His family would not be too enamoured of a non Muslim wife.
Does he want you or an entrance to Britain?
