the term dyeing goes with clothes. you dye clothes, shoes, fabric, whatever, but you don't dye hair!!!!!

get it straight folks.... you can COLOR hair, by adding or taking away, but saying that you dyed your hair is not appropriate, and something that really annoys me in this health and beauty section. please refrain from using that word. just use "color" in its place, and i will feel much better.
i am sure there are a few hairdressers out there who would be more than happy to agree with me!

I use both terms to mean I changed the color of my hair. They both mean the same thing to me, and I'm not sure that this comment has changed my mind. How does it work that you cannot use the term "dye" when you do use a form of dye to change the color of whatever it is you are dyeing? Anyone else just not get it? Sorry.

When somebody dies, you can say they've succumbed, or passed away. And when they die, you can say their color has changed, but you can't say, and when they color, their die has changed, or can you ??? Only your hairdresser knows for sure !

One bright day in the middle of the night, Two dead boys got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other. With their swords they shot each other. A deaf policeman heard the noise, and came to the rescue of the two dead boys !
