If the vomiting continues, I would go and see the pediatrician. My niece would run a high fever and throw up anything she ate or drank for a period of several days. After that, she would have a new tooth and she would be back to "normal" eating and drinking again. Both of my boys would not eat anything when their teeth were about ready to come in.
If you are really worried, you might want to call the after-hours answering service at your pediatricians office. As long as he is taking in fluids and his tongue looks moist and shiny he is hydrated and he will make up the calories later.

I think i am going trough the same phase as you. My son has been one for a week and it seems like he as turn into a totally different child.. He is teething also. My doctor said that this is normal because they don't need has much food as they use to because they growth is slowing down. Some days it will seem like he hasn't ate hardly anything and what you give him, he don't want. My son has been either throwing it off his plate onto the floor or spitting it out into his hand and giving it back to me and it has been a roller coaster ride. This is a phase and it will pass. my son has been eating a little more. As long as he is still active and his diapers are the same, he's fine. I have been still offering it and if he don't want it, ill put it up until later and try again. He will eat when he is hungry. Don't stress, you will just make it worse.

hope this helped ;)

You said, After a certain amount he throws up. It could be related to a number of things. 1. Are you overfeeding him? 2. Have you changed to a new type of food?
3. Does he look fretful and behaves irritable?

All those questions asked, if you can answer in the affirmative, then baby is simply saying 1. he doesn't want anymore food, 2. he doesn't like what you are giving him and 3., you may need to take him to see his pediatrician. He's also teething, therefore his gumbs would be very sensitive and painful.

Sometimes children teething do loose interest in eating, but not chewing on things. Hey may have a reflux problem and that is why he is throwing up his food, especially if you have had him on strained baby food up until this point. How much is he able to tolerate before throwing up?

With teething, diarrhea is usually a culprit, but not throwing up. Are you sure he hasn't gotten into any kind of poison or anything?

I would talk to his pediatrician immediately!!!

If this has been going on for several days you need to take him to the doctor or the emergency room. Is he taking fluids; if he has been throwing up for three or four days and not taking fluids he will become dehydrated and that too is dangerous. You need to be safe not sorry and take him to the ER. And in response to SJ's MOSTWA Pedialyte is non nutritional. Itreplaces fluids and other chemicals lost during the dehydration caused by illness and or fever.

Loss of appetite is a side effect of teething--but vomiting is not.

It shouldn't be getting on your nerves, it should be worrying you. Talk to his pediatrician about this. Kids don't just throw up for no reason.

I think you need to visit his doctor with him. I've never heard of babies vomiting with teething, just noticed a loss of appetite with my daughter.
Are you feeding him too much? Is there something in the food that is disagreeing with him?
Please go to the doctor.

I would take him to the doc asap. That don't sound like teething to me. Something might be wrong with him.

If he is throwing up consistently why haven't you consulted a doctor?
