You can have them send you a check but there's a fee for checks whereas bank transfers are free. Also, if you don't have a verified account then there is a limit on how much you can send.

Yes, they need to verify that you are infact the person opening the account. They will verify your phone number address and bank info first. This is the only way you can transfer and accept money via paypal.

to use paypal u must have a checking account. paypal will verify your account by making two deposit into it. the deposit are $0.19 and about $0.17. when you sell on eBay or other sites your payment will be electronically enter into your bank account.
