Every time someone repents, gets baptized in Jesus' Name, and receives the Holy Ghost, their name is added to the Book of Life. It is the book with the names of all of the saints of God written in it.

God has a book or scroll in which he writes (figuratively) the names of those in line to receive everlasting life. See Philippians 4:3, Exodus 32:32-33. Names can be removed from this book. See, for instance, Revelation 3:5.

The book is not yet finished. Names are continuously added and blotted out.

The Lamb's Book of Life is a spiritual book in heaven that contains all the names of the people that will receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. A person cannot get into heaven unless their name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. God knows all the people that have been born, those that are alive today and all those that will be born in the future. God is able, from the foundation of the world, to look at each life of each person from beginning to end at a glance and tell who will accept Jesus and who will not, even those that have not been born yet. We Christians are given the charge to evangelize the gospel because we do not know who will accept Jesus. God has given us the task of sowing seed among the fields of the world. God expects us to do something with our salvation, so this is the task that he has appointed to us. God uses people to accomplish his goals. This is the way that he has set things up and I cannot explain to you why---some things are mysteries that we will have to wait to find out and some things are mysteries that will never be made known to us.

The Book of Life is a book that has written in it all the names of those who have trusted Christ as their Lord and Savior. And whenever a new person is excepted into His family, then his name is added to the book.

it is the book God has written the names of those who are born again, and yes new names are being added. to be added you must follow Acts 2:38.

Phi 4:3 And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of life

Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

A list of names of people who have chosen Jesus as their savior and try to become like Him and will have eternal life through Him. No, the book is not finished. God adds or erases daily as people come to Jesus or deny Him.

There is no one book of life. Even the ancient Egyptians wrote one. Some are done, some are not.

That's a GREAT question.

There is NO "Book" of Life.

The word "Book" is translated too "Tree".

Tree of Life. That's why Jesus referred to "Pruning the Branches". The Fig Tree. "Branches gathered up"..etc.

Thats why we are "Grafted" through Christ. Grafted to what? The Tree of Life. Not Book of Life.
