Is this a trick question? Are you going to pick a Christian answer no matter how convincing an Atheist's answer may be? Both Christians and Atheists do that. I once saw a Christian begin her question "ATHEISTS ONLY PLEASE..." and still choose a Christian answer as the best. Is it like that?

Talk origins is a very good introduction and provides a good dissection of creationist claims and precisely why they are wrong as well as touching on the evidence for evolution. The problem that you do not realize (and a major factor for many people not accepting evolution) is that it does not fit neatly into the classroom science experiment where you can easily demonstrate the concept, i.e. drop two different sized balls and see that they hit the ground at the same time. Further, there is massive amounts of research that has been done, but most of it tends to be specialized beyond high school levels. Dawkin's recent book "The Great Show on Earth" may be a good reference. The links below should supplement others given to you. Remember, you should check the sources cited and double check claims that are made. Be skeptical and objective and don't accept anything at face value or just because it sounds reasonable.

Evolution is a fact. The scientific theory is the 'by natural selection' bit.
If you are stuck on the idea that a 'theory' is simply an off the cuff idea, then you will never advance beyond your grade-school mentality arguments. There are plenty of sites that dispute all creationist arguments, study those. You don't believe your pastor if he starts dissing other scientific theories... why this one. Evolution and it's scientific theories says nothing about religion. It is not an anti-religious theory per se It just happens to show up seven day creation as a myth.

I believe Science! An Eye Witness?? LMFAO!! The Bible is a fictional master piece written by man...no one knows who, but we need to find out so he can get his just do for writing one of the best fairy tales ever..
It is incredibly diffuclt to discredit evolution. The story of Adam and Eve has been dated through genealogy and bible study to be approximately 6,000 years old, a fact that is believed by the majority of Christians that this is when it all began the earth, animals, and mankind. This incredibly dense considering it has bben proven that the earth is millions of years old through fossil records and the fact that modern man, Homo Sapien Sapien, has inhabitated the earth for 90,000-160,000 years. It has been argued that God's creation of the earth was not over seven 24 hr periods, but over many years. Which is a possibility, but how do you explain the fact that there is no record of dinosaurs in the Bible and that no Hominoid (Human like) man was alive during the time of dinosaurs. The dinosaur is a creature of the earth that far outdates the human race. It is a proven fact! There is no denying it!The proof is reconstructed in museums all over the earth dating back millions of years. So, In the begining God created dinosaurs not humans, right? Back to the theory of Evolution, the similarities between modern man and early Homonids is irrefutable. We share the same bone and joint structures, bipedalism, and dentition ( teeth ). The tooth pattern and placement are exactly the same. The Y-5 tooth pattern found on fossil molars millions of years old are the same patterns humans have today. Making it highly unlikely that it is just coincidence.

Rubbish. The theory of evolution is a mechanism. The fact of evolution is a different issue proven beyond any reasonable doubt. 99% of biologists believe evolution is true so according to creationists 99% of biologists must be crap at scientific study. Which means 99% of all scientists must be wrong because biologists use the same methodology as every other scientist. There is no debate-evolution has masses of evidence to support it, creationism has nothing.

There is no conflict between biological evolution and Creation. Which is why there is no conflict between biological evolution and Christian belief. Creation means that God is the source of all that exists. I believe this. Evolution means that everything God created changes over time, a fact that is indisputable. I believe this also. So, where is the conflict?

rofl. That's not an eye witness. Thats 2000 years ago. They could have been lying through their teeth and you'd never know it.
So, who do you believe? Ancient man that still believed eating pork was bad, and that dragons existed wherever we hadn't been yet, and that disease was a curse from god (rather than something brought on by things like virus' and bacteria) or.. well yourself.
No one has seen a god or experienced any kind of miracle in a very long long time. And your eye witness has been dead 2000 years.
You'll have to excuse me if I don't believe a word a book says. Especially when the religion that's created it has changed, added, and deleted information from it so many times it no longer resembles what it was originally. Most especially when that religion "decided" which books to include from hundreds of written texts that no one knows what the other "books" actually say.
This religion CHOSE what they wanted to present as fact based on hundreds of writings. That doesn't make what they deliver into fact. It makes what they deliver the ravings and blind desires of people trying to create a religion and convince people to believe what they say.

First, do you have any proof that your eyewitness existed? And where is he, if we want to cross-examine him?
Second, a 'theory' in scientific terms is not the same as in layman terms. A scientific 'theory' is a set of very well established facts that scientists work on. When a scientist builds up a theory, there is no doubt in his mind that this theory works.

Hi
I know that Jesus died for me on the cross, I know that when I have a problem I can turn it over to Jesus and it will be taken care of. I put my trust in him.........I feel to that they all go together, It is amazing to me how on one hand a person will say that God is all which would mean that he is everything, then in the next breath they will say that Evolution is not a part of it all. I feel that it all goes together some how, just we do not have all the pieces of the puzzle and that is how God designed it.....
Have a blessed day!

If you are overweight, then the creationist would say that this is the creation of God and he has plussed you with extra pounds, while evolutionist explain it by that due to extra eating habit some of the carbohydrates did not consumed and turn to energy but instead evolved to fat which stored in your body.

God cannot lie. Since He said everything was created, then it was. The people who support the theory of evolution aren't intentionally lying, but trying to explain something they don't understand. As a matter of fact, Darwin tried to retract his statements about evolution right before he died, but the tide was against him. This system is so out of whack and that's just what Satan wants. We must obey God as ruler rather than men.
