msn messenger live?

i got a new computer today windows xp i downloaded msn messenger live but when i signed in to my normal account it had non of my contacts there can ne one help me?

Try again. The contacts should follow your account and it shouldn't matter weather you use Windows messenger, MSN or Windows live messenger.

That is odd it should of go to msn help and see why. I know you can sign in on any pc and it will have all your contacts. So I have no explantion for that sorry.
