Can anyone out there tell me how to get a tomato based stain out of white shirts? I've tried Oxy but no go... ;o(

My son just started working a new job and his white shirts are getting stained.

Tomato Based

Spaghetti Stains: Wet the fabric and then sprinkle with powdered dish detergent. Scrub gently with a toothbrush. Rinse the item and launder normally.

Ketchup or Tomato Sauce: Dab off excess and soak garment in cold water for 30 minutes. Rub liquid laundry detergent into the stain while still wet; launder in warm water.

Best detergent overall for removing stains is Tide w/ Bleach. Not sure how good it is for tomato based stains though. Try placing some Tide liquid directly over the stain for about 5-10 minutes, then wash. Or soak shirts in water with some chlorine bleach for 5 minutes, then drain and wash with detergent.

soak it in COLD water! Then scrub with a cleaning paste. I have found that Biz, or baking Soda and peroxide work well, but be careful for color fastness because this can have a bleaching effect. For colors use a powdered dish or laundry detergent paste.
