i always blame god when something goes right in my life.
the other times it is just ME.
God does not help those that help themselves. they don't need it.
God helps them that can't help themselves.

Hello Crouch.
um i was gonna answer this but then i just thought , well I'm responsible for my own feelings towards God as are others. So, can I actually blame others for their feelings towards God when everything is a working out of this puzzle life, in which God knows the outcome? Nothing is without reason where God is concerned, and when people blame him it's a communication, a response to whats going on. And I think all responses are positive where believers are concerned. Blame of God may in fact seem misdirected but in fact be a response in the evolution of spiritual expression.

That is a good question. I think that people who believe in something like god, they answer to him, everything they do and have is for god and about god. They live around god and so when something goes good, they think it is him who has helped them and likewise when things go wrong it is his fault.
No one really knows why, but it is just so. I am not religious at all, so maybe i am not the right person to answer this. but i have.

Sigh.....Think of God as your father and you are a young child. If your father does everything for you and gives you no room to make mistakes for yourself you will never learn anything. I believe God only steps in when the situation is out of your control. Do you blame your father if you wreck your car because you are not paying attention? Its the same with God nor should they give him credit for everything that happens too them only the things they ask for help with. As long as you believe in God, with your heart not your mind, he can help you. If you don't believe then you are truly on your own.

Because u don't want to blame yourself, and u assume God is only looking after u, and will correct u just before u make a mistake. Did your parents catch you all the times u made mistakes, or were u a little sneaky? You were probably being sneaky so u shouldn't blame God for ur suffering! Learn from ur mistakes! That's what I'm doing, maybe that's the lesson.

Because religious people feel that only god could prevent bad things from happening. If he does not intervene then who else would? He is the only one capable of helping and if he does not, it might feel like it was gods decision to play a silent role.

The lord helps those who help themselves, this is very true. However he doesn't always give people good options, and sometimes, no matter how hard a person is trying, they still can't catch a break--and if there truly is nobody else to blame, what is left? luck and God...

For some, their only reason for believing in god is to delegate responsibility for their own lives. if everything that happens is god's will, then nothing can be their own fault.
imo a lot of religion relies on people who think like this.

I used to, but not any more. As my faith has grown, I have learned that He is not responsible for the bad things that happen. However, He has given me tremendous strength to get me through those dark and troublesome times. No matter what Satan may throw at me, I will not stray from my LORD and Savior. God bless!

recently my husband had a fling, i had no control over that and I prayed hard that he wouldn't (I had a certain knowledge about it before but couldn't prove it). God could have stopped him but didn't, so although I previously considered myself a strong christian, I am struggling a bit. I know God can use bad situations to bring about good, I can only pray that this is one of those times.
