So my sister has a little dog tHAT IS A PRO MANIPULATOR. I have been trying to tell my sister for months that feeding a dog human food is bad. It has not stopped, now it even puts on a show when they feed her wet dog food like shes scared of it and wont come out to eat, so now thats the excuse she uses to keep feeding it real food.
From bean dip to salad, french fries, spaghetti, pizza, turkey, toast with jelly and butter.
I am not a big dog fan as it is and this is just repulsive to see.
Is this not BAD or unhealthy for the thing?

Absolutely,it's bad for the dog,especially if it's a miniature. Human
food is very unhealthy for dogs,especially all the fat content of the
food you've listed. In the long run it's life span will be shortened
because of it.

it's unhealthy for the por little dog. See, human food equates to junk food for dogs and therefore they put on the pounds. Then there is food like chocolate, which can kill dogs. It definately sounds like the dog has your sister on a leash. Both need to be taught this is an unhealthy & potentially harmful thing.

It is both bad and unhealthy for the dog. Dog's need a balanced DOG DIET in order to live a good long healthy life. She is going to spend her money at the vet trying to save it's life if she continues this practice.

Unfortnatly is sis won't listen to you she'll find out how bad this diet is on a dog. First off dogs are meat eaters by nature and all the processed food will clog his artieries and make him morbitly obese. Just look how bad this food is for us humans to eat! I would tell her he's going to die of a heart attack and a dog will not starve it self. When he's hungry he will eat! I can just imagine the gas and poop that dog puts out. Tell her a good qulity dog food is ALL he needs! and if she keeps feeding him this diet he will die an early painful death.

Yes! Human food is very unhealthy for a dog. Tell her to stop if she loves the animal. It can act like it's scared of food....but when it's hungry enough it will eat it!

It is bad for the dog to allow it to eat "people food." Licking a plate is another matter entirely. Someone I know allows that after all the food has been scraped off. The plate goes in the dishwasher anyway so it's sterilized.

It is NOt healthy. Ask her if she wants to deal with an early death? Refer her to the dogwhisperer.com of watch him on the NAtional Geographic Channel. The dog owns her, not the other way around.

i agree its not healthy for your sister to feed human food to her dog especially junk food. speak to your local vet about this.

Well,put ot this way,her dog will die of heart worms,intestinal worms,stomach ulcers,if she keeps doing it. My cousin did the same thing with her dogs,and they were both dead within a year.

This is terrible... tell your local vet, or HER vet about this behavior, this is a bad habit to get into, and hard to get out of. she needs help.
