I sell paintings of emerging and eminent artists of India. Recently I saw that one of my acquaintances has a collection of ancient paintings of pre 1900 and first quarter of 1900. They are unique art works which has got a very high value.

Consult an art appraiser. Get an appraisal then either sell them at an art auction or contact a gallery and make arrangements with them.

If it is historical item... Do not sell but Donate it to Museum or just let your friend maintain it respectfully.

Does your friend actually want to sell his artwork?
are, or you planning on stealing it then selling it because they have the potential of bringing in lots of money.
