Given that the biggest auto group is volkswagen , i would say VW are the best selling cars in the world. Ford is very close though.

the first was the model t ford at over 15 million made , the air cooled V.W. beetle knocked it off the throne with 19 million (i think ) the Toyota corolla claims that now but they kinda cheated because if you put the first one next to a current one they look nothing alike . hope this helps

it depends on the style, purpose and cost. it seems in asean country, their top selling is hyundai, it is reasonable and accommodating to their needs. plus due to trade agreement between each countries.
in my opinion, in europe, the top selling would be volvo, famous for their safety trademark, reasonable than benz and bmw.
here in the state, i thought, it is with honda, their features, service and quality is among the top one from those formulated testing by the insurance or among the wide survey. usually they suffer great on being stolen..but recently, looking everywhere, in the freeway, the streets, its the nissan products, the altima, maxima and murano then there is the magnum by dodge.
for the luxury car, mercedes is on top, for american made is the cadillac. for the trucks, i see the avalanche and s150. for the suv, the hummer and escalade...
