Follow your god, appreciate the feelings of others and never knowingly cause ill to others.
The wearing of a cross or any other symbol means nothing if you do not have the right attitude.

St Paul stated that he was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. Christians should not be ashamed to bear witness of that gospel. (Romans 1:16). I've never met anyone who was in the least bothered by my wearing a cross.

I have noticed that in Ethiopia and the Middle East girls born into Christian households sometimes have the cross tattooed onto their foreheads. What, I wonder, would be the attitude of our politically correct people to that? An inerradicable symbol of their faith! I'd love to find out the answer!

Wearing a cross and spending most of your time judging others are two different things. Wear your cross. It's a free country! One that doesn't have a nationally sponsored religion that requires people to be angry all of the time.

I wear a large red wooden cross wherever I go. I wear it as a challenge to myself, so that I do not dishonour it. I also wear it as a witness to other people. It is obviously not any kind of jewelry. When you see me, you cannot avoid seeing the cross as well. I have had many conversations with people because I wear the cross.

I have also had someone put, shall we say, something of themselves in a beefburger because I was wearing a cross.

I think the essential part is to wear the cross, not to show it. I like mine to be as close as possible to my skin, but it often happens for it to show, for example if I wear a V cleavage, or if I run on the stairs, because the chain is quite short.
However, nowadays Christians are entitled to show off their religious symbols like everyone else if they want to. Otherwise it might look that there are no Christians left (God forbid!)

I got bought a cross on a chain before I became a christian, obviously since then it means a lot more to me, but the fact that it was an anniversary gift from my husband means I would be greatly objecting if anyone asked me not to wear it. They would get a mouthful. We should be proud of who we represent, any faith, and not have to live in fear and be forced to be defensive about the thing that means most to us.

Well, you'd have to ask the question of every religion for the answer to make sense. Should Jews where their Star of David with pride, or would people be set off by that. Muslims? Satanists? Wiccans? Buddihsts?...

Do Wiccans have a symbol? I have no idea about the one...

To me, religion is a personal thing. I think of myself as a Christian, but I don't advertise it with a crusifix around my neck.

nailed on the cross was a terrible way to be excecuted so bad that even the romans outlawed it, i am a christian and jesus is no longer on the cross so why wear something that was only a way to suffer you would not walk around with an electric chair necklace, that is also a way to die , Jesus defeated sin on the cross and then said it is over ,also a real christian should try to be humble not proud

Anything we say or do is provacative to someone. It the same affect as when Dracula sees a cross, they can't stand the idea of truth, moralty and ethics being an absolute in life.

Provocative? No, I don't find a cross particularly sexy. Do you mean would it offend others? If so, then no. Wear whatever you like.
