Many are the afflictions of the righteous,........psalm34:19 How dare you look upon someone in your congregation and spew your candy water downed messages of wealth and prosperity, when their are people in your pews who need help. You tell them give and you`ll be wealthy from God. Yes God will bless them but it`s YOUR responsibility to help them,PHYSICALLY AND FINANCIALLY. Your driving around in a new lexus and bmw, while people in your flock are desperate for help.King david was homeless for 7 yrs and was rejected by his own.Take that to the bank!!!! Just because a person is always suffering dosn`t always mean their doing wrong all the time. You better change your ways, sir or else God will dethrone you. The money is coming in and your not doing jack with it but filling your buildings and your needs first. The american churches are in trouble,, their not hearing what the HOLY spirit is saying to the churches.Judgment is coming upon america, and you tell them prosperity!!!

I live in a small one bedroom house, drive a 1977 truck, work 45 to 50 hours a week in a secular job, and my wife drive a ford escort that I payed 500 dollars for.
a former pastor of mine worked 50 hours a week as a welder drove a truck supplied to him by his employer and still drove 160 mile to bring me 400 dollars when I was in need.
the pastor of the church across the street from me is a truck driver and his wife is a physical therapist,
the pastor of the church across town's wife is a school teacher.
just who do you think you are to set in judgement of us.
may God forgive you.
as god through Samuel told Saul, do not touch gods anointed.
if pastors and teachers are in the wrong then it is god who will judge them not us.
you don't have to listen to them.

A MEN!!!!!!!! i am a reverend my self. before i became ordained and the reason i decided to do it was because i hoped to make a difference. the poor, sick and needy and homeless need more then just a few bible verses they need support. in the bible when some one was hungery they were fed not handed a bible and called a sinner. it takes more then just knowing and reading the bible it takes doing what it says. i remember when my son was little and his father walked out on us i had no choice but to go to the mission to get food i had to sit though an hour listening to them tell me if i were not a sinner then i wouldnt be needy im like what in the world these people do not know me and yet they are calling me a sinner i looked at them and told them to keep their food.. while i was at the mission i met a homeless couple that needed a place to live and they were turned a way i offered them a place to stay and in turn they helped me pay the bills and buy food. and i watched their kids for free while they worked. I dont feel it is our place to judge any one. we are suposed to love each other and help one another in a time of need. i cant see spending money one a big fancy church when you could be spending it on the people. after all its the people and god that makes the church not the preacher and the building.lets not forget jesus was poor and he did suffer but he wasnt a sinner.

I'm guessing you've had the experience of being in a wealthy church, and being turned away when you asked for help. Or perhaps you did not even ask. My church does take care of its' own. When I was shot by my husband 10 years ago, my church family, led by my pastor, came and packed my belongings while I was in the hospital. They moved everything I owned to a new house, made sure my kids were well cared for, and the pastor paid all my deposits for rent and utilities. Members took 4 hour shifts and stayed with me in the hospital 24/7, and paid my first 6 months of rent. My pastor and his wife took me to my new home when I got out of the hospital. There was a new refrigerator (I didn't have one) with almost too much food in it to close the door. An attorney, who is a Deacon, took my divorce pro bono. If your church would not do this for a member, perhaps you need to find a new church. Christianity is all about helping one another.

Very interesting. Im not a Pastor but I am a Christian in Canada.
I have always noticed that about American church leaders. They have massive churches and houses, expensive cars eg Bishop TD Jakes. He also has a plane.
My pastor drives a Minivan. People in America are drawn into following because they see them as being successful.
What is wrong with this picture.

Judge not lest ye be judged. Just because you may be right, does not validate this tirade. Misuse is rampant, but, coming from a missionary background....the support is there, from those churches. Watering down scripture...seems to me that you want hellfire 'n brimstone, snake handling preaching. No, some have to have verse taught gently, easily.....milk before meat. So, main service is for all, then other days you can go to church classes and dig deeper.

You only see less than 1% of the preachers on TV. The vast majority of Preachers/Pastors live in a lower middleclass status. Some are below the poverty level. But, I agree with you one hundred million percent. I have wondered what happened to the Lord's command to the Apostles, "Take nothing with and ask for nothing."

Seems that you my dear friend watch way to much american TV.

TV is entertainment and the "candy church" that you see on it, while it does exist as a business, is not what the majority of us whom are not home on Sunday Morning hear and learn.

You will not find the spirit filled worship services on TV, because TV services bow to other Gods, such as breaks for commercial ads and rigid terms of service and rigid timing of different events , such as three minutes reserved for prayer, five minutes reserved for special music, ten minutes reserved for the pleading for financial assistance, etc.

A flesh and blood church of believers can only be found in person and I truely hope that you seek one out and visit and can see for yourself the power of a place where God is the only one in charge of what happens when in the place where we worship God alone.

I think you have been watching TV too much. If that is your only example of preachers, you have a very distorted view. My preacher drives a pick-up. Our elders are volunteers. Most of our monetary donations go toward spreading the word. All our donations are done anonymously so that no one is glorified but God.
