Chicken noodle soup is considered quite nutritious. Often it is served to people who have colds and flu because it is hot, soothing and easy to digest. Adding noodles or macaroni to homemade soups is a great way to bring that serving of grains to your daily diet too. Some may not enjoy pasta in soup because of the texture, however, I have found this rare. Most enjoy a pasta in soup because it adds another dimension to the broth along with vegetables and sometimes meat. I find that cooking the pasta separately and then adding it to the hot soup helps to keep the broth from becoming murky if you are looking for a nice clear soup. You may even want to try at some point, barley grain which is often used in a scotch broth vegetable soup. Barley grain is found on the grocer's shelf, as it is commonly used for soups. I find that it is tasty and nutritious and does resemble pasta in texture.

I like to make my own noodles when I make soup it only takes a few extra min. I love noodles.

It is great to add noodles to soups. You can add just about any kind of pasta noodles to make great soups.
