People who do not believe in Christ can not take his teachings independently and make an objective conclusion about them because they have already decided that he was a Myth.

Yours in Christ

Part of the problem is that Jesus never wrote anything down. All we have are the things remembered and embellished over many years after he died before they were written down by his followers. We depend on how well they understood him and reality. And a good bit of the New Testament is written by St. Paul, who NEVER knew Jesus.

They were a very superstitious group of guys who turned Jesus into a God so they could worship him. It is not possible to trust people who do things like that. They obviously have problems with being factual and determining what is true and what is gossip or wishful thinking.

What I gather from reading what was written about Jesus is that he wanted to end religion from being a set of rules, he wanted to use rituals just to remember the good times and not pretend that some magical transformation was happening, he thought that we are much more than we are aware of and that humanity had a great potential, he thought the purpose of religion was to care for others, and he didn't want to get caught up in triviality about God or politics. But eventually even he couldn't escape the triviality of God and politics.

Unfortunately his followers did the opposite of what he wanted them to see. Why? In part because they were ignorant men and the only thing they knew was superstition. Because of that they were easily mislead by St. Paul, who elevated Jesus to a God and organized the hierarchy of the church. The rest is the poor history of Christianity as we know all too well. Well, at least some of us know the history of Christianity, most Christians are kept in the dark about its history or don't care.

first of all no longer all Jews have been uncovered to the Gospel of Christ at t time. And of people who have been some did in actuality settle for Christ on the same time as some didnt(infants of the devil). John 8:40 4 You(Jewish Leaders) belong on your father, the devil, and you want to accomplish your father's choose. He become a murderer from the beginning up, no longer preserving to the reality, for there is not any certainty in him. whilst he lies, he speaks his nearby language, for he's a liar and the daddy of lies. The Gospel of Christ would be hidden from the Jews till the tip circumstances. Romans 11 25 i do no longer want you to be unaware of this secret, brothers, so as which you heavily isn't boastful: Israel has experienced a hardening in part till the completed variety of the Gentiles has are available in. 26And so all Israel would be saved

True and Serious Answer - From what I know of the teachings of Christ, they seem OK to me.

My problem is that the Bible seems crazy to me. I can't imagine why anybody could read the stories of Adam and Eve or Noah (to name a few) and not be sick to their stomachs.

That's where religion lost me a long, long time ago.

I see both good and well I won't say downright bad, but questionable teachings that Jesus of Nazareth espoused. On the whole I feel he was a good human being who believed in what he was saying.

The basic teachings are sound advice on how one should conduct their life. But they are also similar to the teachings of Gandhi and many other spiritually enlightened individuals.

Anybody who says help the helpless, feed the hungry, stop fighting, respect your family members, obey the laws of the land, treat people like you want to be treated, can't be a bad person

seems to me all the wires get crossed as soon as people begin to think that they are the chosen few, who know it all. That's when the guns come out, just in case anyone has any doubts about who's truth is the real truth!

I think he was a good man, up there with people such as gandhi and buddha. He taught peace and love and didn't condemn anyone. As gandhi one said: "I like your christ, I do not like your christians, your christians are so unlike your christ".
