Certain people find exercising fun because they do it on a daily basis. I used to find it very tedious and boring, however, i have to run everyday and I have just gotten used to it. It's boring only if you make it boring.

I think a lot depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you have a goal to reach and you can see the progress you are making that should be enough to spur you on. I went to the gym for years without any goals (or purpose) and found it completely different once I had worked out what I was doing and could see the progress. Try exercising another way - buy a bike and cycle around.

Apart from walking & everyday housey exercise, my granny did absolutely none (gyms weren't even invented). She lived to a ripe old 96.
It has been proven that regular gym attendance/exercise only benefits 20% of people weight loss wise, the other 80% stay the same.
So, why bother? Going to a gym is my idea of a nightmare, why don't you go on a nice walk instead?

Well, it seems that you have a problem. First we must analyze the situation. Why is it that you particularly despise exercising? We must look into it in a deeper manner and explore the possibilities of the way the nerve system coincides with the brain functional system. I hope this helps. Good luck.

I work out at our local Y.M.C.A. and their machines have flat screen T.V.'s on them to help make working out less tedious. I think that exercising is something that's necessary in life. You're either going to have to pay now or pay later by having health problems.

first time it feels tedious and unpleasant, sometimes you feel like running away. But go slowly day by day and you will enjoy it. increase the strenghts regularly in small doses, surely you will like working out in gym

Gyms I find totally boring! Two things might help. (1) Set targets to achieve (keep a log, review results). (2) Get a training buddy (to participate in (1).

It's a challenge!! I found that music helps ALOT. Find some upbeat music that you like and wear a walkman while on the treadmill or whatever.

Yes! I can stick at a new regime for about 3 weeks then the novelty wears off, then that puts me off for another year!

No, the key is to find something fun. Lika a sport, or dance or swimming. Music is also good to listen while you excercise!
