So I want to know more about Stephen King and no site will give me information about what in his life inspired him to write horror books! Can you give me some?

Rather than suggest a single book to read, I would suggest that you take a selection and see how he deals with different situations. Personally I would start with Hearts In Atlantis. It's not very scary on the face of it, but starts off dealing with a young boys emotions and goes from there. That's one theme. Needful Things takes a whole other outlook. You need to read other authors as well (good and bad) to get a broader knowledge of this style of writing. Then you can find your own style.
