You can't change the world. Many tried, and failed. It is much easier to change yourself, and the world will change with you. What we need in the world is for all of us to take responsibility of our actions and stop blaming everyone else ad the world for what is going on wrong, and make the difference. Us not them and th world.

Well, I'm not there, so I don't know. I would guess that your perceptions change. Perhaps you become more clear minded as you organize you thoughts? But here's a test you can try...

After you meditation, look around you as see what's different. Then ask people about it. If they agree then perhaps you do have the ability to influence the world. be sure you use this power for good though. The world tends to try to balance it self

You cannot change others...unless they want to change...and are ready for that change.

BUT, you can "adjust" how you react to things.

For example, I work with all women..there are about 50 of us all under one roof and all in one room.

With that goes back-biting, horrible gossip, and too many Chiefs and not enough Indians.

The job however, pays well and is so close to where I live, that I can go home for lunch.

I have learned (thru the 6 years I have worked there) to adjust how I behave.

I do not get into the gossip, or the back-biting. I will NEVER be a Chief, so that issue has never been a problem.

However, I still have to get it out at times, and I have a friend who I talk to, Everyone needs a friend who does not judge and that one can tell anything to.

Yes, you may have to "adjust," but you DON'T have to change.

Good luck!

You change your perception of the world, when you meditate. Your focus changes from following conventional values and ways of thinking, to following your own values that are encoded in your Soul, or in your heart, if you like. That way you can tap into your true purpose, and find the things you should really be doing in order to be happy.

If you are looking for different answers in life, read "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website. It is a fast growing knowledge of God and the Universe, shared by the thinking people.

Try this experiment - Sit down in front of a table with a pencil on it. Now mediate as hard as you can. If you can get the pencil to float in the air then I would say that you might be able to use your mind to change the world.

Now, if the pencil thing didn't work, go down to your nearest homeless shelter and volunteer. Then you will know that you are really changing the world.

If you believe Buddha the material universe is the creation of humanity's thoughts, beliefs and desires so if your consciousness becomes more enlightened then in a very subtle and imperceptible way you change the fabric of the world we live in.

Only God can change you. Pray to him to do that and the change comes from within you and will radiate to the rest of the world. Your perception of suffering will also change and you will be glad to do it to fulfill God's will.
