Become a true Christian - Protestant

Of course you can. I did the same. Was baptized Catholic as a baby and then again as a non-denominational Christian as an adult. It was great to have that personal relationship with God that I always desired, without any rituals or saints standing in my way.

Unfortunately, you live in her house now, so you have to keep on the down-low about it with her. That won't stop you from exploring the bible on your own. The internet is great for this.

Best Wishes!

Your baptism is valid in all christian deminations except mormonism. So, yes, you can switch. However, you should wait until you're 18, because your parents can make you stay catholic until then.

I was once looking into Mormonism and Catholicism. I was baptized lutheran. My baptism is also valid with Catholicism and all other denominations except Mormonism, where you need to be baptized by full immersion (they dip you in a pool) in order to enter the religion.

Do some research on many religions and be absolutely sure you want to do it first.

That site will show you about 7 different religions and what they believe. Otherwise you can use Yahoo to research religions.

There are two major Christian categories. Catholics who are certainly Christians and Protestants. Catholics believe in one Baptism, so anyone that converts to Catholocism does not have to be baptized again as long as it was done in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (They have to go through a religious ed program) If you wish to enter another Christian religion that is Protestant they usually do not recognize the Catholic Baptism therefore to be considered "saved" in their eyes you must do it again of your own chosing. You can be any religion you want to be.

Ask 2 or more different religions each to pour water in Jug from a cup. Now can you separate and only pour out anyone of the religions original water from the Jug? Thats impossible my friend.
Eventhough we have many religions, we all originated from one source but it doesn;t mean religions are wrong. It is simply a different ways of experiencing God. Besides isn;t All Creation is God. If you find both religion acceptable, why not follow both? Choose and Accept upon your rights to Free Will not by conditions. Have a Nice Day

Do it quickly. Catholics are an evil source of brain washing in my opinion. But nevermind our advice, your faith in God is separate from which religion you choose. And God will tell you what to do, not me or anyone else. You must trust yourself above all things. Your grace is yours not your mom's or mine, but a relationship between YOU & GOD alone. Faith in that my sister. But my opinions on Catholics still stands, as I would have nothing to do with this church having an only son & all. I don't want to kill anyone & I fear I couldn't hold my temptation to kill someone who raped my son ~ no matter who they were. (I just couldn't believe the way they hid it & let it keep happening) When u look things up for yourself, you can make your own educated decisions on how u want to find God. Your path is yours and before you..... you just have to walk it:o]
God bless.

your religion is insignificant. You are a christian. Religion is a set of dogma or a faithfully repeated action. Going to the market at 10:00 am every sunday can be called religious

Hi - It's a free country, hun. Go and check things out. Visit some different churches (maybe a temple or two) and talk to people. It's your life, you have free will.

Do what feels right.

Religion does not save you but Faith in Jesus Christ and receiving Him by faith does save you.

Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Trust (believe in Jesus finished work on Calvary )and you will be saved.
In Christ in Love,
