Or would is just surrender when it lost such and such a number of troops..?

North Korea has their army situated on the peninsula that all of them just need to head south. Their infantry forces are concentrated the furthest south, infantry support is a little further north, artillery is further north so they can assist in the infantry's forward movement, air support a little further north. so all everyone has to do is just head south.

so all we have to do is hit them hard in the middle and far north. we jump in, establish contact and destroy their personnel and equipment, then establish a position to box them in.

they will never surrender to you. Seoul is less than an hours drive from the DMZ. They have a milita of 15 MILLION to support thier army of one and a half million people. They remember the policy of the us to kill all civilians in the korean war. They have massive artillery. All they have to do is get close to the capital and then air support is useless because the south koreans will get killed too. There are at least 50, 000 americans in korea including the 30 , 000 in the army. They hate you like most of the world does and would rather fight to the death than surrender to you. They have the only nukes on the korean penninsular now. Dont even talk about war because its over for the us now. Bush was telling the world how the us has no nukes on the penninsular the other day - because he is scared and does not want the north to start a war.

The North Koreans are ruthless fighters. Defeating them in 30-60 days is crazy. No one can predict such things. They train their military long and hard every day. They have been doing this for as long as they have had a military, though their tactics could never be as advanced as the U.S. tactics. They would be quite a destructive force and much more death would take place on our part than in the Iraq region.

The biggest threat is all the artillery pieces are set and ready to go. Basically South Korea's civillians would be hammered for days until the cannons run out of ammo or are destroyed.

There is also the problem with mass surrendering. The U.S. had trouble with 100,000 Iraqis with 500,000 allied troops, but here it's millions with around 30,000 troops.

No. really by using 1000's of artillery products aimed in course of Seoul. Any large scale wrestle between the North and South might want to outcome in 1000's of 1000's of lifeless civilians on each and every area (notwithstanding really the South by using inhabitants concentration) and the destruction of between the accurate 10 economies in the international. the perfect element the _world_ needs is a conflict between both.

A war with them would be like WWII with Japan. They won't quit or give up no matter what. That is why we had to drop 2 nukes on Japan, to go past that "kill myself for my country" attitude and show them that we can wipe them off the map.

If a war starts with NK, it most likely will have to come down to the same or at least to wipe out the entire government.

Remember we have been at war with NK before.....was long, no winners and was called a truce. But also we did a basic ground war at that time.

Next time around.....our military will wipe half of them off before troops ever go in. But also remember the NK have had 50 yrs to redig in for protetion and to set it all up.

War with NK would be best left to planes and missles only.

I have been listening to the military experts talk about a hypothetical war with N Korea and they said that we could defeat their military in about 30-60 days. We would take out all of their communications and radar stations and they would basically be destroyed without communications and radar. I believe the N Korea military and the civilians are so hungry they would welcome relief from this oppressive regime.

The people of N Korea are literally starving. Without China's support, I do not think that they can fight. They love to put on displays and saber rattle.
In the Mayday parades of the old Soviet Union, a lot of the missiles were mock ups.

north korea is waiting on thier allies. they hate the US and so does russia china and iran. the enemy of my enemy is my ally, therefore korea will rely on the other industrial nation who are againt america. If they (all of them or one has a feud with israel It will start world war 3). we don't know anything for certain on how korea will react. we can only hope our allies don't abandon us.

Best thing to do is wipe out their infantry first and then their logistics because without boots on the ground to hold territory then airpower and artillery mean little.
