Go talk to your doctor, let him decide what you need and how much. It is best that if you are on other medication that he or she knows. We don't want anything bad to happen. (remember Ana's son just died because he had to many )

anti-depressants are givin by prescription only. The best person to get them from would be a psychiatrist vs a regular medical doctor. If you do not want to see a psy. then go to a health food store, they will give you what you need. Just tell them what it is for.

If you are depressed then you need to go to your doctor and tell him/her what is going on. Anti-depressants could be dangerous if you take them without being under a doctors care. You have to get diagnosed and prescribed medication.

There are herbal pills such as Saint John's Wart and Kava Kava. And you can also order anti depressants from Canada and Mexico online with your credit card. But none of these are good ideas, I suggest you see your primary care Physician and get a prescription.

Only a licensed (doctor, pdoc) can prescribe an anti-depressant, for he can judge if you need it. There are remedies over-the-counter in health food stores - but you don't want to fool around with this. Mental illness is a serious illness.

They need to be prescribed. There may be some herbal treatments out there like SamE, but they don't work as well or work for mild depression only.
You need to be diagnosed by a professional first.

St John's Wort has anti-depressant properties, but is probably about to be regulated by the FDA. If you're genuinely depressed, see your GP.
